Sound familiar?

Books fall behind quietly. Then a deadline arrives.

A trust account audit, 1099s due January 31, a VAT return, a lender asking for a year of P&Ls, or a CPA who can't start until the books are done.

We close the backlog against a date you can plan around, and we carry the risk of that date.

"The trust account was last reconciled in March."Buildium
"Uncategorized expense is our biggest line."QuickBooks Online
"Nobody has reconciled Xero since the summer, and VAT is due."Xero
"Our CPA can't start the return until the books are done."Year-end

To the cent, or we fix it free.

Every account we close ties to its statement. If your CPA or auditor finds one that doesn't, we fix it at no charge.

A fixed price, agreed first.

Priced per month behind and quoted in writing before any work starts. No hourly billing. Price yours in 30 seconds.

Guarantees apply when we have the access and answers we ask for by the dates in your engagement letter.

Pick a time. Leave with a fixed price in writing.

We look at your software, your volume and how far behind you are. Within one working day you get a written quote with a finish date. If we aren't the right fit, we'll say so and point you to someone who is.

  • A fixed monthly price, and a fixed catch-up price if you're behind
  • The date your books will be current
  • The three biggest problems we can see, and how to fix them yourself if you'd rather

Catch-up FAQ

Questions owners ask before a catch-up.

What is catch-up bookkeeping, and how long does it take?

Catch-up bookkeeping brings books that have fallen behind up to date. Every missed month is categorized, reconciled to its statements and closed, oldest month first. At Ledgermere, up to twelve months behind is closed within 14 working days of access. Longer backlogs get a finish date in writing before work starts.

What if we're more than twelve months behind?

You get a written finish date before we start, and the same rule applies: if we miss it, the catch-up is free.

What do you need from me?

A user login in your Buildium, QuickBooks Online or Xero account, and your statements or read-only bank feeds. We never ask for your bank login. After that, one list of questions, usually answered in an afternoon.

How is a catch-up priced?

Per month behind, set by the size of your books, with a fixed quote in writing before any work starts. Every rate is on our pricing page, and the calculator there prices yours in 30 seconds.

Will our CPA know what changed?

Yes. You get a written note of every correction we made, so your CPA or accountant can file from the books without sending them back with questions.

What happens when the catch-up is done?

Most clients carry on with a monthly close on a fixed date, and the first monthly close is free. If you'd rather stop there, your books stay in your software, current and closed.
